The sojourner is planning to walk through the Compostela de Santiago which is very famous for pilgrims.

In order to cover the 900 kilometers as planned, Nyarangi says she will be walking an average of 17-25 kilometers each day.

"I have been training and I am fit to do the entire distance because I am physically and mentally strong to do it," she said.

The funds she says are meant to help the children's home build decent toilets, kitchen, a habitable dormitory and classrooms.

"This walk is solely for the Dagorreti Children's Home where vulnerable kids are living in squalor conditions not befitting children of God. We can do another fundraiser for other homes as time goes by and if we have the opportunity," Nyarangi said.

Nyarangi, a professional accountant says she is determined to give the kids in Nairobi a better life through charity.

After the walk, she is expected to jet into the country where she is expected to do a fundraiser from locals to help boost the kitty for the kids.
