FKF-PL: AFC Leopards aim to roar back as weekend action beckons

AFC Leopards will be traveling to Mumias Complex for a thrilling clash against Kakamega Homeboyz on Saturday as the FKF Premier League enters matchweek 12.

Leopards, currently 7th on the log with 14 points, are seeking redemption following a mixed start to the season. Their opponents, Kakamega Homeboyz, lie 11th with 12 points, making this encounter a battle for resurgence in the mid-table pack.

AFC Leopards have showcased glimpses of brilliance but have struggled to maintain consistency, evidenced by their recent results. A win in this crucial match could propel them closer to the top four.

Ingwe will rely on star players to deliver against a Homeboyz side that has only secured three victories this season.

For Homeboyz, this home fixture presents an opportunity to climb up the standings, and they’ll be banking on their vibrant fan support at the Mumias Complex.

Elsewhere, Police FC will host an in-form Mara Sugar side at the Machakos Stadium in the early kickoff at 1 PM.

Mara Sugar, sitting 5th with 16 points, are within touching distance of the top four and will look to capitalize on Police’s struggles. Police, positioned 13th with 11 points, are desperate for a win to avoid slipping further down the table.

At the SportPesa Arena, Tusker FC, currently 3rd with 18 points, face Mathare United in what promises to be an intriguing encounter.

Later in the day, Nairobi City Stars, sitting precariously in 16th with 11 points, will clash with 12th-placed Murang’a Seal at the Machakos Stadium.

 This match is critical for both teams as they fight to steer clear of the relegation battle.

Sunday's fixtures promise further drama, with the league leaders KCB FC, fresh from their commanding start to the season, traveling to the Ukunda Showground to face Bandari FC, who are 2nd with 19 points.

This top-of-the-table clash could redefine the title race, as Bandari will aim to leapfrog KCB into the summit.

At Gusii Stadium, Shabana FC hosts relegation-threatened FC Talanta, while Gor Mahia, sitting 4th with 17 points, will battle struggling Bidco United in the day's late game at the Machakos Stadium.
