AFC Leopards captain Clifton Miheso is confident his team will continue with their good run ahead of their FKF Premier League battle with title hopeful Kenya Police at Dandora Stadium from 3pm on Wednesday.

Miheso who will be facing his former employers for the second time after their first leg 2-2 draw said they are ready for the challenge.

“Training has been excellent this week. The team has been focused and putting in the hard work needed to prepare for our upcoming match. The team is in good spirits and ready to give our best on the field,” said the Harambee Stars international.

“Playing against my former club does add any unique element to the match. My primary focus as we approach the match is contributing towards the team’s success and achieving our objectives for the season.”

Ingwe are currently sixth with 44 points, 10 points behind Police but Miheso believes they will emerge winners.

In fact, Police have not beaten AFC Leopards since their promotion to topflight league.

“Police FC is a strong team with a solid track record. They have a very organized style of football, and we know they will pose a challenge. However, we are prepared and confident in our abilities to execute our plan effectively.

“We approach every match with determination and a winning mindset. The match is crucial for us to continue our momentum in the league.

“We are aiming for nothing less than a positive result. We have prepared well and will look to execute our game plan effectively on the field,” said Miheso.

Police FC are currently on a 17-match unbeaten run, second on the FKF-PL table.
