Mumbi Georgia, is a musician from Embu. She is also the CEO of her own company, MG Ushering.

Her musical journey began in childhood, inspired by her father’s soulful singing. In 2022, she released her debut single, marking the start of her solo career.

Like many artists, Mumbi faced challenges that led to a brief hiatus. However, she remained undeterred and returned to the studio in 2023, releasing a powerful cover of Nina Siri in Kiembu.

“I went back into the studio near the end of 2023 and did Nina Siri, Kiembu cover. My inspiration came from what was happening to me at that time because hope had been restored,” she says.

Born and raised in Embu, Mumbi made her first visit to Nairobi in 2017. “I came to Nairobi for business and for music. I first met a few artists, producers, and had radio interviews,” she says.

Through radio interviews and networking, Mumbi began to establish her presence in the competitive music scene.

She, however, encountered the typical challenges faced by new artists. From navigating the complexities of recording and marketing to identifying her target audience and refining her brand, Mumbi learned valuable lessons that would shape her future.

She soon realised that the studio and the stage required distinct approaches to performance and audience engagement.

Currently, Mumbi is focused on promoting her latest single, Ananipigania, which has been well-received by her fans.

Known for her penchant for surprises, Mumbi promises to continue delivering high-quality music that will captivate her growing audience.
