Former Kenya Film Commissioner Chairman Chris Foot is among millions of music aficionados the world over, who are mourning the passing of 28-time Grammy winner and legendary producer Quincy Jones.

Chris who has been active in several arts related platforms including stints at media, reacted to the sad demise of music mastermind who died on Sunday at age of 91.

Sharing on X a number of photos they took together a while back, Chris Foot said, “Farewell Quincy Jones, you musical legend and genius. You changed things, for the better, in so many ways,” he posted on his socials.

Chris is among other notable public figures who have publicly paid tributes to the music titan whose contribution to the music industry is unrivalled.

Celebrated media personality Maina Kageni also took to social media to mourn Quincy Jones.

Quincy who has passed away at the age of 91 at his home in the Bel Air area of Los Angeles surrounded by his family, leaves a rich catalogue of music he produced during his lifetime. He is survived by his seven children: Jolie, 71, Rachel, 61, Martina, 58, Quincy III, 56, Kidada, 50, Rashida, 48, and Kenya, 31.
