Francis Muuo Kasema, better known as ZEMAN, is an artist from Nairobi, Kenya. He is an Afro-pop artist.

He, however, is not limited to this genre alone. He has worked on others like Amapiano and Afro-fusion.

He is a high-energy artist brimming with talent. Born and bred in Nairobi, Zeman is the last born in a family of 6.

“I was raised by my widowed mom in Ongata Rongai. I would best describe myself as an enigma. A provider of love and energy,” he says.

Zeman started his craft from an early age.

“I was always musical from as early as when I was four years old and my dad got me my first keyboard,” he says.

His music career officially debuted on February 14, 2023, with his first single Konga, under Black Alpha Productions label.

Despite being born on the outskirts of Nairobi, Zeman has a fair share of experiences in the city.

At one point while walking near the National Archives, Zeman was approached by a group of individuals offering him an envelope filled with “money.”

Having heard stories about similar scams, he was immediately wary. Despite the tempting offer, he managed to maintain his composure and politely declined.

“There is this particular time I was around National Archives when some guys tried to con me with an envelope full of “money”. By that time, I had heard of their dealings and I was very cautious. I managed to walk away but I was surprised by the commitment people have to try and embezzle a total stranger,” he says.

This, he adds taught him a valuable lesson that “not everyone you come across deserves your help.
