Taita Taveta Governor Andrew Mwadime has made four appointments as he constitutes his administration.

Mwadime has appointed Eunice Mchikirwa Ndelejai as his Director of Public Communications. Before her appointment, Ndelejai was the county assembly senior public communications and media relations officer.

The governor has also appointed Thomas Nyambu Njumwa as his economic advisor, and Richard Maimbo Lukindo as political advisor.

Philemon Madeda Mwambingu will take over as Chief of Protocol, while Hezron Nganga Mbogo will be personal assistant to Mwadime.

"As the governor, I am alive to the high expectations the public has on my administration. The above-named persons have, over time, aptly demonstrated their competence in the various fields they have served," said Mwadime in a statement.

Sources said the governor is crafting his new cabinet which he will unveil once he inaugurates the third assembly next week.

Speaking after he was declared the governor by IEBC County Returning Officer Eisha Oshan, Mwadime promised to form an all-inclusive county government.

"My government will be for the people because they endorsed me while collecting signatures to vote for the seat as an independent candidate. The local community overwhelmingly supported my candidature and they are the ones who campaigned for me," he told his supporters.
