Dancehall sensation Ghettograde set to officially launch 'Mindstate Riddim'

Kenyan Dancehall sensation Ghettograde is gearing up to release his highly anticipated Mindstate Riddim. With its unique blend of traditional reggae and contemporary sounds, Mindstate Riddim promises to captivate audiences and solidify his position as a leading figure in the genre.

The launch will feature a live performance by the acclaimed Reggae Afrique Band, adding a unique live touch to this celebration of rhythm and culture.

The Mindstate Riddim has been a year in the making, with Ghettograde first announcing its premiere over a year ago, when he first debuted the ‘Buss No Matik’  tune which was the riddim’s lead single

At the time of the announcement, the riddim was still under development.

Known for his dynamic beats and thought-provoking lyrics, Ghettograde continues to cement his place as a key figure in the industry with his recent nomination at the People’s Choice Awards being a testament to this.

“The Mindstate Riddim further demonstrates my ability to merge traditional reggae influences with contemporary sounds,” he says

When the lead single “Buss no Matik” was released, it ignited the debate on who is the Dancehall king in Kenya. In his song, he advised other artistes to stop chasing clout but rather be the clout itself.

From the opening bassline that rumbles like a Kingston earthquake to the rapid-fire verses ‘Buss No MatiK' was a masterclass in dancehall dominance.

He didn’t t mince words, he owned his swagger with unwavering dedication to the genre. He claimed he is the king of dancehall.

 "The song is a reminder to the industry that Ghettograde doesn’t have to fire a shot to get attention in reggae or dancehall. I was simply affirming my place in the dancehall and space by telling how tough, bad and wicked Ghettograde can be musically," he said.
