USIU-Africa has expanded its online program offering, with four new programs expected to launch in January 2025. The latest additions, which include the Bachelor of Science in Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Bachelor of Science in Data Science, Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice Studies and the Master of Arts in International Relations join the three online programs that were launched earlier in the Fall semester. The programs are part of USIU-Africa's push to address the needs of an evolving job market and to provide students with opportunities to gain specialized knowledge and skills in high-demand fields.
The launch of these programs builds on USIU-Africa's demonstrated success in online learning, which has been recognized internationally. The university was recently awarded the Outstanding Impact by a Non-U.S. Higher Education Organization by Quality Matters (QM). USIU-Africa has rigorously adhered to QM's quality practices, including peer review and professional development for educators, positioning itself as a regional leader in online learning. These efforts led to the institution's Online Master of Business Administration program receiving accreditation from the WASC Senior College & University Commission (WSCUC) in 2020, followed by accreditation from the Commission for University Education (CUE) in 2021. Since then, seven additional programs have been certified for online delivery, and over 165 faculty members have completed QM workshops, equipping them with the skills to design and deliver high-quality online courses.
