Suzie Wokabi is the brilliant mind behind Suzie Beauty’s very first make-up brand, which took the industry by storm and dared all of us to reimagine beauty.

After successfully building the brand, she decided to step back and sell it, creating a buzz of anticipation for her next move. Now, with her signature passion and innovative spirit, Suzie Wokabi is ready to captivate us again with SB DADA, promising a new era of beauty and self-expression.

Additionally, she is launching her book, A Beauty Full Journey, where she documents her journey and experiences. The book is available for purchase on Amazon.

She invited me to first visit her SB DADA studio, a place where she had poured her heart and soul into every detail, a stunning workspace.

The seating area features beautiful brown velvet couches made from wooden pallets, complemented by green leafy cushions. The open space is adorned with pink sheer fabric draped across the ceiling and pink-themed décor items, giving it a whimsical, flamingo-inspired feel—perfect for hosting guests.

After her office tour, I persuaded her to give us a tour of her home, which is conveniently located not far from her studio.

Tucked away in the suburbs of Nairobi, we were greeted by a charming black dog whose playful demeanour made the atmosphere even more inviting. Her husband and children were not home.

Her charming four-bedroom townhouse in a gated community was gorgeous. The layering of textures, colours, and prints give her living room a warm and inviting feel. An elegant wooden staircase leads to the family room.

Purple silky curtains impart a royal touch, while accolades displayed on a wooden cabinet highlighted her achievements. The cream walls are stunning, adorned with family portraits that make each wall a canvas of cherished memories.

A beautiful Persian carpet, gifted by her mom, compliments everything in the room, adding a touch of nostalgia and elegance. The craftsmanship of the dramatic L-shaped blue velvet sofa with white and blue floral cushions is magical, giving the room a luxurious feel.

Pretty floral maroon small cushions add a cute and charming touch. An exotic lampshade by the door, reminiscent of an African drum, completes the look, infusing the space with a unique and vibrant vibe.

Her wooden floor gives her home a warm and cosy ambience. The chandelier lighting adds a touch of classic elegance, and the lampstands were simply outstanding.

The dining area

The dining wicker chairs are custom-made; she sought out a carpenter who could infuse wicker basket elements into the dining seats.

Together with her husband, they collect mementoes from different parts of the world. These treasures are meticulously displayed, with many art pieces on the walls being wedding presents, including a painting from New York that gave the room a sense of warmth and balance.

The pictures on the wall form a beautiful collage, each one telling a unique story.

When I asked her what was next, she said with a smile, “I love to mentor. Watch this space.”

Back to Suzie’s career, I was curious as to why she sold her earlier business.

Her response? Marketing and PR were second nature to her, but the complexities of managing finances, dealing with lawyers, and handling accounts demanded more resources and a stronger support system than she had at the time.

The new SB Dada brand is designed for Gen Z and millennials, offering products that are trendy, fun, and exciting. With its unique positioning, the brand exudes a youthful and vibrant energy, making it a perfect choice for those seeking a spicier and more chic look.
