Kenyan organisations challenged to take seriously knowledge management plan

NAIROBI, KENYA: Kenyan companies have been called upon to take seriously knowledge management within their systems to minimise business disruption.

Speaking ahead of the October knowledge management conference in Naivasha, Moses Wadeguh, and the CEO at Phowad Solution Limited noted that most organisations in Kenya do not have clear knowledge management plan exposing them to unexpected changes in the business environment.

“Many of our organisations have not developed proper knowledge management plan and the few that have are not properly done, which is risky at a time when technology has made business environment more unpredictable,” he said.

“We need to have a plan that helps companies meet their targets and ensure smooth transition in cases of on-board employees,” he added.

He called on joint participation of departments in IT, Human resource, operations, and strategy and risk departments in building a workable knowledge management plan.

The Ministry of Devolution and Planning Principal Secretary Powon is lined as key speaker in the first Knowledge Managment Conference to be held on 12^th and 13th October 2017 at Enashipai Resort and Spa, Naivasha.

The conference targets practitioners, beneficiaries, academicians and consultants for exposure, networking, training and discussion on issues that affect their operations, plans, strategy and best practices.

“It is a platform for both private and public organisations, driven from a private sector initiative and supported by various stakeholders with the goal of giving value and enabling organizations perform better, maximize on their potential, guide their strategic objective and ensure sustainability, by leveraging on their knowledge assets.”

International speakers from American Productivity and Quality Center (APQC) will grace the occasion.
