1 teaspoon garlic powder
In a bowl mix the above ingredients and set aside. In a separate bowl add;
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 chicken bouillon cubes
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt to taste
1/2 cup corn starch
1/2 cup water
Method:
Mix all the above dry ingredients in a bowl. Separate the dry mixture into two batches, then add 1/2 cup water into one batch (adjust the liquid to get the desired consistency).
Pour the wet batter mixture into the marinated chicken. Mix well and set to rest for about 30 minutes.
Now add the chicken to the dry flour mixture and mix (do not over-mix you want it to look lumpy). Half cook the chicken, remove from the oil and set aside.
Drain the oil over a kitchen towel. Let the oil become hotter and fry the chicken again until it becomes golden brown and crispy on the outside.
For the honey garlic sauce;
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons oil
2 teaspoons fresh garlic mince
1/4 cup light soy sauce
1/4 cup honey
3 tablespoons sugar
Method:
In a wok add the oil and saute the garlic. Add the soy sauce, honey and sugar and mix.
Cook until the mixture is thick. Now add half of the fried chicken and enjoy a dunked sticky version.
