A new report has decried the low participation of women in Kenya’s logistics industry.
The TradeMark East Africa study found only 20.5 per cent of all employees in the country’s logistics industry were women, hence the need to improve workplace environment to attract more women.
The story was replicated throughout the East African region with only Rwanda achieving slightly above one third participation rate or 33.3, while Tanzania and Uganda stagnated at 15.8 per cent.
