Disabled to get kits

The National Fund for the Disabled of Kenya will spend Sh100 million in purchasing working kits for the registered members in the next three months.

Fund CEO, Annie Mugambi, said the kits are meant to uplift the living standards of the disabled.

The organisation is donating equipment for hair dressing, sewing, knitting and farming.

Speaking in Murang’a when the fund gave out equipment worth Sh2 million, Ms Mugambi said the Government had resolved to help persons with disability by financially empowering them.

"People with disability do not only require wheelchairs but also support for working tools," said Mugambi.
