The Transparency International Kenya has a new Chief Executive.
In a statement issued yesterday, TI-K announced the resignation of Job Ogonda, who is joining the United Nations Development Programme.
Samuel Mbithi Kimeu, a governance advisor at the Embassy of Finland, takes over from July 1.
"Ogonda has been a tremendous asset at TI-K. Over the past two years he has led it to a new level of effectiveness in the fight against corruption," read the statement signed by Board Chairman Richard Leakey.
Mr Mbithi was previously the Executive Director of the International Commission of Jurists-Kenya. He has also been involved in research on human rights, the Judiciary and constitutional law.
