Maseno University is one of the most renowned universities in Kenya although there has been a long standing row on it location with both Kisumu and Vihiga Counties claiming it. Pit latrines that were in the institution have been pulled down and new ones constructed which use water. Lecture halls have been refurbished and tiles put in each hall.
