We may not like each other but we are steadily fusing into a global community
The temptation to go to Afghanistan can be real. You remember Afghanistan? That place of unending warfare. You remember how the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) invaded Afghanistan in December 1979?

We must worry about the running out of patience of targets of terrorism
If some god sends you out to plant bullets in children’s heads and to kill their mothers, you must be told that you worship a defective god. But it is not just a substandard god. It is a devilish deity. We must tell you that your Morning Star is possibly Lucifer, the devil himself.

MPs targeting nominated colleagues is akin to pursuing paradise of idiocy
The essence of idiocy is self-absorption. They said in ancient Greece that everybody was born an idiot. Some, however, went on to become citizens. The rest remained idiots.

Mr President, drop the draconian and exclusivist path you’ve chosen
Receive friendly greetings this festive season. With historical hindsight, allow me to reproduce a piece that I published in this column on March 16th. I do so as I have heard President Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto say that newspapers are useless.

We’ve reached the point someone told us, choices have consequences
A hungry man is an angry man. This is what everyone in privilege and authority must never forget. Our people say that even a hungry rodent pushed beyond a certain point of tolerance will pounce at the fiercest lion. They advise the lions of this world never to lose sight of this law of nature.

Mutunga, JSC have wasted chance to demonstrate credibility of Judiciary

CORD’s fixation on polls risks fueling disillusionment on their political ideals
The duty of a mature political Opposition anywhere in the world is to look good. This is what the CORD leaders who are now calling for a referendum to radically change the nature of Government and the election of Kenya’s Chief Executive must never forget.
