His birth name is Prince, but he's known by the nickname Arakaki a nod to his warrior spirit and a Japanese kick mastered after many repetitions. As I step into his chic Nairobi apartment, the atmosphere is as impressive as his journey. Large windows bathe the space in light, offering a breathtaking view of the suburbs, framed by elegant cream curtains that drape gracefully to the floor. The white walls and a few well-placed plants gave the home a subtle, feminine touch. "Plants are key in any home, they bring life, fresh air, and according to psychology help you relax," he mentioned. When asked about the source of his unique furniture, he replied, "I had everything custom-made by a local artisan friend. I'm committed to supporting my friends' hustles. Every piece here is crafted by local artisans." As a fitness enthusiast and expert, I was curious about his routine. He shared that he works out for at least two hours a day but allows himself to eat whatever he desires in moderation. "I don't overindulge," he emphasized. When asked about the most disciplined personalities he's trained, he quickly mentioned Governor Abdul Nassir of Mombasa, the newly appointed CS for mining Joho, and former Min Health Hon. Nakhumicha as his top contenders. He chuckled as he recalled the most outrageous request he ever received-from Music Star Otile Brown, who wanted a chiselled body in just three weeks! Remarkably, he made it happen. After an intense training regimen and strict diet, Otile Brown was ready for his music video with Rayvanny music star in Tanzania, looking camera-ready in record time. Another notable client is the president's son, who, despite his high-profile status, is refreshingly down-to-earth and humble. Arakaki was tasked with helping him tone up in time for his father's inauguration. He successfully achieved this, ensuring the president's son looked impeccable and fit perfectly into his suit with a toned physique. Prince's bedroom is a serene retreat, featuring purple silk curtains, a king-size bed with a headboard that complements the home's beige theme, and a plush velvet sofa where he unwinds with a good book. As we wrapped up our interview, Arakaki eagerly shared his hope to one day train the president himself, offering to help him stay fit and healthy because of his busy schedule. When I asked if he ever feels intimidated by the high-profile celebrities and government officials who come to him, he confidently replied, "I let them be themselves. I encourage them to drop their guard and relax."
