Muhoroni Youth are seeking to improve their chances of qualifying to FKF Premier League next season when they host Fortune Sacco in a crucial National Super League early kick off at Muhoroni Stadium in Kisumu today at 1pm.

Muhoroni lie third on the log with 53 points, a point behind Fortune Sacco with nine matches left before the season ends.

Top two teams at the end of the season will earn automatic promotions to the top tier league by virtue of finishing first and second while third-placed team will be forced to face Wazito in the relegation and promotion playoffs.

Muhoroni Youth captain Fredrick Odongo said they are confident of earning promotion and the journey could start when they collect maximum points against Fortune Sacco.

“The team is focused on winning all our remaining eight matches. If we defeat Fortune Sacco, we will be at a better position of finishing among the top two. We will not accept defeat at home,” said Odongo.

Muhoroni have played one match more than Fortune Sacco. Administration Police Service Bomet top the standings with 57 points from 29 matches and they will face Zoo Kericho at Green Stadium.

Other matches will feature Muranga Seals hosting Vihiga United, Kisumu All Stars playing Gusii and Shabana hosting Migori Youth in Narok.
