Jane Mugo filed a report at Kondoo Police Station in Kesses, Uasin Gishu County on Thursday, stating she had been attacked while travelling to Nairobi from Bungoma.
The self-declared investigator said in her 7pm report that unknown men blocked her vehicle at the Ainabkoi- Kapsabet junction at 6:30pm, cut her in the head and hands using a machete, and thereafter drove off in her car, a black Toyota Land Cruiser Prado of registration plate KCN 222K.
The suspects, according to Mugo, abducted her driver, Kevin Okoth, and another passenger, Newton Manyana.
Mugo said Good Samaritans took her to Kondoo Police Station to file a report after the incident.
Other items stolen, according to Mugo, were her two mobile phones and personal items.
The “private detective” said she received emergency medical attention at Burnt Forest County Hospital before being transferred to Reale Hospital in Eldoret Town.
“The suspects haven’t been arrested yet,” police told The Standard.
According to Jane Mugo, the suspects blocked her car with “a saloon Subaru vehicle”, which was also driven from the scene.
She said she didn’t capture the number plate of the suspects’ car.
