Kenyans in the five zoned areas of Nairobi, Kiambu, Machakos, Nakuru, and Kajiado Counties have been asked to adhere to the presidential orders during the Easter celebrations.

Addressing the Press in Nairobi, Inspector-General of Police Hillary Mutyambai revealed that 33 roadblocks have been erected on all major roads leading in and out of the zoned areas.

“The Commissioner-General for Prisons has released 3,000 prison warders who will help our officers in providing security during this season. Kindly note that the 33 roadblocks will be manned day and night to ensure total compliance with the directives,” said Mutyambai.

The IG stressed that the security officers are committed to guaranteeing a safe and secure environment.

"Soft approach is more appropriate so that we can fight this disease. Kenyans should report cases of people going against Ministry of Health (MOH) protocols," said Mutyambai.
