35 children held over alcohol, sex orgy

Some 35 teenagers were nabbed by police engaging in orgies and drinking alcohol in a house in Homa Bay County.

The students, 15 girls and 20 boys, were found in a house in Sango Estate in Arujo Location. The minors are aged between 13 and 17 years.

Residents got curious when they heard loud music emanating from the house.

It is then that they alerted Arujo senior chief Bob Lang’o, Arujo sub-location assistant chief Jackton Olielo and Dancun Odhiambo of Homa Bay Towhship sub-location.

Lang’o said they broke the door open and found most of the minors naked and in compromising situation.

Used condoms

“It took us a few minutes to break open the door. What is appalling is that we still found a number of the girls and boys without clothes,” Lang’o said.

The officer said they also found used condoms in the house.

“The used condoms means the minors were having sex in the house,” Lang’o said.

He said the teenagers were also in possession of alcoholic drinks.

“The children were drunk and some of them must have been smoking bhang,” Lang’o added.

The minors were taken to Homa Bay Police Station for further interrogation.

“This is a case of child neglect.

“We will release the children because we cannot detain them in the station,” said Homa Bay Sub County Police Commander Sammy Koskey.

Koskey said he had summoned their parents to appear at the station for interrogation.

The owner of the house has since been arrested.
