MP: Why the pupils were learning in flooded classroom

Ganze MP Teddy Mwambire has budged to social media criticism and responded to worrying pictures of Mangororo Primary School pupils seated in a flooded classroom.

The pictures that emerged online on Thursday morning showed the poor state of the mud-walled classroom that had no seats.

Kenyans on social media accused both the county and national governments of negligence and having misplaced priorities with some demanding for accountability.

Following the internet storm, Ganze Mp Mwambire, who spoke to Standard Digital on phone blamed his political predecessor for the current woes saying he has is in the process of implementing changes in the constituency.

“I found the constituency in dire need of development and I am in the process of implementing projects that will see the lives of Ganze people improve, “he said.

Speaking about the situation at the school the MP admitted that there were more than 30 schools which are in a dilapidated state.

He added that some are even worse than the primary school pictures shared online.

“It is true there are more than 30 schools which are in a bad state, currently I am searching for donors to help build classrooms,” he said.

 He said that he has a plan in place to make sure all the pending projects are completed.

“We plan to complete all of the projects that have not yet been completed. We are will seek donors and hold fundraisers to help us raise the money,” he said.

The MP also promised his constituents that he will account for all the CDF money allocated to Ganze Constituency.
