The journalist who was identified as Gykenda Semakula of Uganda Broadcasting Corporation has caused a stir among netizens with some arguing that the deed was not right.

The incident took place at an event where President Museveni’s son Muhoozi Kainerugaba and other high ranking officers of the Ugandan Army were getting promoted.

Early this month, Museveni’s son, Lt-Gen Kainerugaba was among more than 2,000 military officers who were promoted to various ranks.

The 44-year-old First Son has steadily moved up from the rank of Major General to later being appointed Special Presidential Advisor for Special Operations.

He was previously head of the elite Special Forces Command, a unit in charge of the president's security.
