A man died on Friday after jumping into the Indian Ocean from the ferry at the Likoni Channel in Mombasa.
The unidentified 25-year-old man jumped from MV Jambo as it was docking in Likoni at 12pm.
Divers from the Kenya Ferry led by assistant security officer Alton Nyambu removed the body moments later. It was taken to the Coast General morgue.
A witness said the man who lives in Jamvi La Wageni in Likoni was having wrangles with his wife and had been spotted at the ferry channel several times looking distraught.
Likoni deputy police boss Selina Wanjala said the man committed suicide following domestic wrangles.
"It is true the man committed suicide and we have information that he had family issues," said the police boss.
