Moments after NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga officially quit the October 26 repeat election, Kenyans on social media expressed varied views on the way forward.

Kenyans received the news with mixed reactions, for instance NASA supporters kept wondering what would happen to the most hyped journey to the promised land, Canaan. Others were celebrating Raila’s move while criticising IEBC for ignoring the irreducible minimum reforms.

NASA principals had assured Kenyans during a press briefing on Tuesday that Raila’s withdrawal from the presidential race can’t stop the ongoing anti-IEBC demonstrations, arguing that the demos should even be intensified countrywide to push the electoral commission conduct fresh presidential polls.

Those opposed to Raila’s move were of the view that Uhuru Kenyatta should be sworn in now that he is the only willing candidate to participate in the repeat poll.

Some curious Jubilee supporters were quick to ask about money contributed for NASA campaign through a pay bill number.

The following are some of the reactions of Kenyans on twitter:

Ahmednasir Abdullahi @ahmednasirlaw: Under Regulations 52 and 53 IEBC must declare HE Uhuru duly elected president of Kenya.
