A man charged with illegally aiding the transfer of land worth Sh100 million has now been accused of practising law without an advocate's certificate.

Morris Angelo Owino, who has been charged alongside Douglas Mwangi Muteru, denied four new charges of illegally practising law.

The two are also charged with conspiring to commit a felony by obtaining a land registration certificate.

Last week, the two were charged with involvement in questionable land deals and freed on a Sh500,000 bond each.

Mr Owino appeared before Mombasa Senior Resident Magistrate Martin Rebera on Tuesday and was released on a bond of Sh500, 000.

The court heard that on January 24, 2010, at Electricity House, Nkrumah Road, Owino, being unqualified to act as an advocate, prepared a transfer for land belonging to Mohamed Bashir Meraj Din Ahmed, who is deceased.

He faces a second charge of preparing a land sale agreement and a third charge preparing a transfer of land instrument.
