Former Kibwezi Member of Parliament (MP), Kalembe Ndile, was injured in a road accident along the Nairobi-Mombasa Highway on Saturday morning.
According to Athi River traffic base, the accident happened at Devki area involving a Subaru Forester driven by Mr Ndile and a Mercedes Benz by one Nicodemus.
Ndile, who was headed to Mombasa collided head on with the Mercedes Benz which was heading in the oppposite direction.
The former legislator sustained a fracture on the right leg and left hand. He was rushed to Shalom Community Hospital where he was admitted.
Ndile and two other Mavoko MP candidates rejected the parliamentary results in the August polls and announced their intention to challenge them in court. The three reiterated Makau did not win fairly.
Constituency returning officer Samuel Chacha declared Peter Makau of Wiper party winner with 49,728 votes.
Ndile (Jubilee) received 16,444 votes, while Michael Mutuku (ODM) had 9,460 votes. Maendeleo Chap Chap's Philip Kilonzo got 4,683 votes.
