Should the baby suckle from a sick breast?

Dear Dr. Ombeva,

For the last four days, my left breast has been swollen and tender, with a crack near the inner side of the nipple. I have had fever, headache and a sore throat for about five days now. I have a three-month-old baby who I exclusively breastfeed. The doctor who checked my breast in a nearby clinic said it has an abscess and they need to operate on it to drain the abscess. I have been started on medication too. My question is do I continue to feed my baby on this breast? Hawa
