NAIROBI: Starehe Boys Centre has defended their results, saying its candidates performed well. School Principal Peter Ndung’u however acknowledged a slight dip by 0.06 points. “This year’s performance was good. We are happy with the results,” he said. Mr Ndung’u said the school produced 55 As and 100 A–. He said 2014 results improved but noted that the 2015 results dipped “just a little”. “Our mean grade has remained a strong A-. We had good candidates and got good results,” he said. “It is not easy to get those results. We believe all the students will get courses of their choice at the university,” he said. Of the 244 students who sat the exam, some 242 qualified to join university. Centre director Mathew Kithyaka said the school is proud of the boys’ performance, adding, “We encourage children to work hard and develop good character.”
