Former CID Director Noah arap Too

Former President Daniel arap Moi has mourned the death of former Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Director Noah arap Too.

In his message of condolences to the bereaved family, Moi said that Too served the country diligently in his long career in the public service.

"He served the country well in all the positions he served Kenyans," said Moi.

Too, who passed away on Wednesday night at Nairobi Hospital after illness, was one of the longest serving CID directors, having been at the helm of the department for 15 years during Moi's rule. He was appointed director in 1984.

He also served as a commissioner in Public Service Commission and later as MP for Ainamoi Constituency and an assistant minister for Home Affairs.

"He was a humble person with an amiable personality who always did not compromise on professional matters," he said.

Moi prayed to God to give his family strength to bear the loss.
