Mpeketoni, Lamu: Inspector General of police David Kimaiyo has announced that they have in custody a suspect Ishmael Omondi who was operating a fake social account purporting to be Al Shabaab so as to claim responsibility for the Mpeketoni attack.
David Kimaiyo also stated that Mpeketoni OCS Aden Ali has been dismissed with immediate effect and will be charged in court. In the meantime more suspects including leaders are being interrogated.
