Tae-bo is a form of exercise that involves the combination of taekwondo and boxing moves in the workout routine. First developed by Fitness instructor Billy Blanks, it involves the use of legs (kicking) and hands(punching) and a some hip hop moves.

It is almost similar to aerobics in the manner that it is also a choreographed routine and needs a trainer to guide you through it all. But this routine has been seen to be more intense and highly energetic.

Bo is derived from the word boxing that includes core punches. Some dance moves are always included during tae-bo to add a little rhythm to the workout routine hence increasing the energy.

The tae-bo technique involves moves such as pivoting, karate, boxing, stances, punches and kicks and a combination of all of them spiced up with some hip hop routines.

The movements are not random but are well controlled and needs a lot of discipline. It requires a lot of balance and good body form to ensure you exercise your whole body from head to toe. It requires strength, endurance, and focus that involve the mind, soul and body.

No one goes to exercise without having a goal in mind and the results they want to gain.

Getting fit means having the ability to perform well in various physical actions without getting tired and ending up gasping for air. It means taking a walk up the stairs without going out of breath. It may also mean being able to fit into those clothes you have always wanted. Tae Bo helps you to get fit.
