Police in Bungoma are pursuing robbers who shot and injured two policemen and the manager of Ushirika Bank in Kimilili on Tuesday, March 1.
The three were escorting an undisclosed amount of money to the bank at 1:30 pm when the robbers struck.
Unconfirmed reports suggest that the undisclosed number of robbers made away with Sh25 million.
One of the police officers was shot in both legs, while the other was shot in the right knee.

The manager of Ushirika Bank in Kimilili, Kennedy Khalakai, was shot in the stomach, police said.
“The three were taken to Kimilili Sub-County Hospital and later transferred to the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Eldoret for advanced treatment. They are all in stable conditions,” police said in a report filed at a Kimilili police station.
