Deputy President William Ruto, on Monday, June, 22, sent a
heartfelt message to Aden Duale hours after his ouster as the Leader of
Majority in the National Assembly.
During a Jubilee Parliamentary Group meeting at the KICC and
chaired by President Uhuru, Duale was replaced by Kipipiri MP Amos Kimunya.
Taking to his Twitter, the Deputy President described the
outgoing Leader of the Majority as a great leader.
"My brother Aden Duale, you are a great leader. For the
last 8yrs, you discharged your responsibilities as our party's 1st majority
leader with style, precision, passion, and loyalty. My friend, when
parliamentary history is written you will have a chapter. Mbele iko sawa na
Mungu," said Ruto.

Duale also confirmed his ouster through his social media
handle saying, 'I came, I saw, and I conquered.'
"Today marks the end of my seven years of service to
the great people of Kenya as the Leader of Majority of the National Assembly. I
was the first occupant of the seat under article 108 of the constitution,"
said Duale.
Aden Duale's ouster came days after 126 out of 179 Jubilee
MPs signed a petition supporting his removal.
Speaking during the meeting, Jubilee Party Secretary-General
Raphael Tuju said the decision to have Kimunya replace Duale was influenced by
seniority.
"The party and party leader has full confidence in
Kimunya. He has the capacity to deliver having been a minister before and
elected MP numerous times. This means he is not a small timer," Tuju said.
During the parliamentary meeting, Eldas MP Adan Keynan took
over Kimunya's position and was elected as the new Jubilee PG secretary.
