Actress Caroline Muthoni, popularly known as Carrol Sonie,
this week spoke for the first time after losing her baby.
David Oyando aka Mulamwah revealed to the nation that the
constant bullying he was experiencing in social media contributed to the loss
of their baby and he had to quit comedy.
Muthoni stated that they went through a difficult moment but
was thankful to friends who reached out.
"I remember when I told Mulamwah about the news
and he was just depressed. He couldn't even control himself. The same
happened to me, I broke down each and every time. Every time I saw a baby I
would cry, it was that bad," Muthoni recounted.
"I want to thank my friends who came to the hospital to
see me, I appreciate your love. Thank you so much for wanting to know how I am
doing,” ahe said.I appreciate it, I'm recovering and everything is back to
normal," she added.
Further, Muthoni stated that she was surprised by Mulamwah’s
decision to quit comedy but maintained that they are even stronger than before.
“When Mulamwah decided to quit comedy, I had no idea he was
going to do that. I remember we had this conversation countless
times, this wasn't his last decision to make," Muthoni stated.
"We had talked about this many times and we agreed that
he wouldn't quit. But I don't know what happened and he did this without
my knowing. When he did this he was in Kitale, I was in Nairobi and
couldn't go because of the lockdown," she said.
She was also thankful to KFCB CEO Ezekiel Mutua who offered
help to Mulamwah and promised to make him an ambassador of clean content.
Mutua had sent some words of encouragement to comedian
Mulamwah after he announced his exit from comedy.
Through a post on social media, Mutua urged Mulamwah to
reach out to him and promised to get him a new shirt for his art.
“I hear that twitterates are driving @mulamwah out of comedy
& into depression. Bro, you are a too talented man.
“Pick yourself up and
give me a call. I will buy you a new shirt, mentor you and make you an
ambassador of clean content,” he said.
Adding: “The best way to deal with cyberbullies is to refuse to give up!
