Health CS Mutahi Kagwe on
Thursday expressed displeasure that some Kenyans were coming up with various
ways to beat the curfew and go past roadblocks.
The CS referred to a case
where a group of youth took an ambulance to beat the police check-up points and
were going to attend a party.
He discouraged such behavior
saying although the government is being bashed for imposing strict measures,
they are necessary.
Kagwe maintained that the
ministry was in constant touch with police officers and whoever might need
treatment in a neighbouring county will be assisted.
Acting Health
Director-General Dr Patrick Amoth also weighed in on special cases of patients
who might need to travel saying his office had facilitated several letters to
allow them access to treatment.

This is after a section
of Kenyans said the cessation of movement order would affect patients who often
come to the city for treatment.
In his address, CS Kagwe insisted
that people should stay home over the long Easter weekend since there are no
parties and all bars are closed.
He also reserved special
praise for Kitui County and Kitui County Textile Centre (KICOTEC) that is now
manufacturing over 30,000 masks per day.
The number of patients
who have tested positive for Coronavirus in the country now stands at 184.
So far 12 persons have been discharged while seven have succumbed to the virus.
