A female police officer was on Friday found dead at her home in Nairobi’s Umoja Estate.
According to police, the deceased, Hellen Kwamboka, was an officer based at the Parliament Police Station and left work on Thursday May 23, at around 7pm.
She was expected to report to work the following day in the morning but when colleagues tried to reach her there was no response.
Her phone had been switched off and police immediately started looking for her.
Upon reaching her house in Umoja Estate, officers realized that it was locked and suspected something was amiss.

They then broke into the house and found Kwamboka’s lifeless body on the bed.
She had a deep cut on her head and blood stains were found all over the house.
Also, there were signs of strangulation but no weapon was recovered at the scene.
Police suspect she might have been killed by her boyfriend who visited her on Thursday evening.
The phone of the deceased is yet to be traced.
Kwamboka’s body was moved to Chiromo Mortuary awaiting a postmortem and DCI officers attached to Buruburu Police Station are investigating the matter.
