President Uhuru Kenyatta on Thursday faced the full wrath of Kenyans on Twitter (KOT) following his trip to Namibia to mark the country’s 29th independence celebrations.
Photos of the President and his delegation were shared on various social media platforms but netizens were far from pleased by his trip considering the drought crisis that is biting hard in Turkana and Baringo Counties.
Many questioned President Kenyatta’s priorities and castigated him for using taxpayers’ money at such a time.
“Today I had the honour and pleasure of joining my friend and brother H.E. President Dr. Hage Geingob and the wonderful people of Namibia in their country's Independence Day celebrations.

However, Kenyans quickly reminded him of the situation back home and asked him to quickly act and ensure the drought situation is handled well.

“Ur excellency, issue executive orders to military cargo planes to distribute relief food to our fellow Kenyans in hunger striken areas to safe our brothers and sisters, also order the controversial dams to be built in Turkana...”
“What is kiunjuri doing there while Kenyans are dying of hunger?!!!! I thought he was CS Agriculture and not foreign affairs.”
