Sadly, the successful corporate married woman is keen to identify with her success at the office.
They keep us abreast with their progress in the corporate world and if they are on social media, they show off their travels across the globe.
Their walls are void of family photos, of a couple and children relaxing somewhere on a Sunday or preparing barbecue together.
Any signs of a happy family in their timelines, if any, will be mementoes taken in 2007 when Facebook was hyped.
Such pictures, usually suffocated underneath thousands of pictures of a successful career journey are a true depiction of how the modern woman, married or single views marriage — an insignificant venture in our lives that is not worth celebrating.
We have deconstructed religion and the family unit. Such a sad reality!
