A cop alleged to have colluded with two accomplices to kill a Nakumatt senior auditor has been arrested.
Ezekiel Onsongo was charged alongside Nakumatt’s account manager Philip Manyura and boda boda rider Dennison Marokoa.
They are accused of killing James Karanja on May 7 along Mombasa Road at 6pm. Police said Karanja was shot twice in the head by Onsongo who was on a motorcycle.
They suspect Karanja was killed after he unearthed a major scandal involving some senior managers at the supermarket.

Prosecution counsel Simon Muriuki asked the court to remand the three suspects for 12 days pending investigations.
Muriuki stated that the investigating officer needed more time to conduct an identification parade and also collect more evidence. The case will be mentioned on July 9.
