Ida Ljungqvist the Tanzanian born 2009 Playmate of the Year has made it into the Playboy ‘s 2010 pin-up calendar. Mid last year, Ida was in the center of a scandal when a woman, Katrina Kantner sued her on claims that she teamed up with Katner’s now ex-husband Doug Kantner to steal child support from her kids.

Ida claimed Katrina’s suit was a "transparent attempt to extort additional monies out of Doug" — the Playmate says the false allegations "disrupted and diminished her ability to raise funds for charities and philanthropic associations".

Ljungqvist appeared as the Playmate of the Month in the March 2008 issue of Playboy, the first African-born woman to do so. In May 2009, Ljungqvist was selected as the 50th anniversary Playmate of the Year. The title came with $100,000 (Sh7.5million) in prize money, a 2009 Mazda sports sedan and an engraved bottle of Patron Platinum. It also brought to light her skeletons involving a messy divorce, court records alleging she performed ‘sexual acts for money’ and controversy over her wearing religious symbols in her nude photos.
