Battle for slots to this year's East Africa secondary school games will hit a notch higher as teams go searching for the two direct tickets to Musanze, Rwanda.
Today's semi-finals will be the point of focus as 2018 national school Term Two games enter the homestretch at Hill School, Eldoret.
Twelve-time boys' Under-19 football champions Kakamega High School will lock horns with novices Dagoretti High from Nairobi for a place in tomorrow's final.

In the other encounter, four-time winners St Anthony's Kitale will be up against newcomers Olbolsat from Central.
Kakamega finished second in Group A following their 1-1 draw with Our Lady of Mercy Ring Boys in their last group match while St Anthony's topped the pool after a 2-0 win over Kathungi.
In girls' Under-19 football, 2011 winners Archbishop Njenga from Western will tackle Nginda Girls from Central, while the other last four clash will pit Kobala Mixed from Nyanza against Coast's Kwale Girls.
It was end of the road for last year's winners Wiyeta, who crashed out of the championships after drawing 0-0 with Archbishop Njenga in their final Group A tie to finish third.
Archbishop Njenga finished top of the pool with seven points as Kwale secured second spot with six points after a 10-0 thrashing of Matuu Memorial in their last match.
Archbishop Njenga's prolific forward Brenda Masibo believes they are on course to reclaiming the title.
"So far so good; we topped the group that had defending champions and we will seek to maintain our top form if we want to reach the final," Masibo said.
They will take on Nginda, who finished second in Group B, after beating Itigo 3-0 in their last preliminary match to pick six points.
In the Under-16 football category, 2016 boys' champions St Anthony's Boys Kitale from Rift Valley Region will be up against Nyanza's Riyabu as St Peter's Mumias take on Nairobi's Upper Hill.
In the girls' contest, champions Olympic Mixed lock horns with Moi Girls Nangili, while former winners Wiyeta have a date with Waa Girls from the Coastal Region.
Upper Hill sneaked into the last four despite suffering a 2-0 loss to St Anthony's in their final Group B match.
In volleyball, newcomers Shimoni will clash with former national and East Africa boys champions for a place in tomorrow's final.
Shimoni of Coast beat Furaha Mixed 3-0 (25-19, 25-11, 25-19) in their last Group B to book their last four slot.
On their part, favourites Malava extended their unbeaten run after defeating debutants Gatunga 3-0 (25-8, 25-14, 25-18).
It will be a newcomers clash in the second boys' encounter as Kapkenyeloi from Rift Valley take on Mogonga PAG from Nyanza.
