The main suspect in the murder of a Kericho couple and their child, has been arrested.
The late Bernard Langat, his wife Khadija Langat and their five-year-old baby boy, were murdered a week ago at their Melit home, 3kms from Kericho Town.
The death of the couple which entered the growing list of gruesome murders, has caused great anxiety and fear among Kericho residents over their security.
But last night, a team of detectives dispatched by the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) arrested the main suspect in the latest murder incident at Londiani junction in Kipkelion East Constituency.
Police sources indicate that the suspect was found in possession of the late Langat’s passport and mobile phones.

Undisclosed amount of money in US dollars believed to have been stolen from the victim, was also recovered from the suspect.
Kericho County Police Commander James Mugera confirmed the arrest of the suspect.
He declined to disclose his identity until the police conclude probe.
“Just be patient a little longer. I will give a press briefing,” he said.
