Turbo MP’s driver crushed to death while shelling maize

Eldoret, Kenya: A police driver attached to Turbo MP Elisha Busienei and was at the weekend crushed to death by a tractor sheller in an accident in his Leseru village, Uasin Gishu County.

Police say he died on the spot after the incident.

Busienei told police that his police driver, Constable Joseph Kipkorir Kiptuiya of Embakasi Police Station in Nairobi, was shelling maize in his (deceased) compound using a Tractor-Mounted Sheller when his loose Jacket was caught by the Sheller Shaft thereby crushing his body. He died on the spot. The incident happened on Sunday at about 10am. The body was moved to the local mortuary. Such accidents are common in the area.
