Dubbed the largest musical event in the country, the annual Rift Valley Festival in Naivasha lived to its billing attracting hundreds of revellers from all over the world.
The event at Fisherman’s Camp provided a stage for established as well as developing talent, creating a fusion of musical influences.
Internationally acclaimed stars Joe Driscoll from the US, Sekou Kouyate of Guinea and Kenya’s Yunasi band thrilled the large crowd during the three-day event.
Joseph Crosby, one of the major sponsors of the three-day event, said they aimed at making the festival the largest in the region.

“Our aim is to make a real difference to local communities by raising awareness and money to aid environmental improvement and community regeneration,” he said.
Crosby said the aim was to raise at least Sh10 million, which will be used towards supporting grassroots projects around the vast province.
Rift Valley Festival director Sean Ross said this was the third consecutive year they were having the event in Naivasha.
Ross said every year they targeted different musicians from around the continent and the world while showcasing local talent.
Revellers who turned up for the event expressed satisfaction with the organisation. Barwaqu Kyle, who had travelled from the US for the event, praised the performances saying it was a good mix of music.
