Stand-in Harambee Stars coach Zedekiah Otieno is rooting for younger players to come into the team if positive results are to be realised in future.
Otieno who will lead the team in a six-nation tournament in Egypt next week said: "It is time to inject new players in the team. They are willing and ready to learn."

"It is obvious we have not done much with the old players and it is time we looked at what we have and consider the wide pool available for us. I am happy there are very many talented Kenyans out there who if looked after well can take us far as a country," he added.
Otieno’s statement came a day after he announced that he was replacing the seven players from Sofapaka who have been pulled out of the team due to club commitment at the end of this month.
While naming their replacements, ‘Zico’ as he is popularly known has given a chance to under 20 youngsters Mathare United’s Innocent Mutiso and Charles Bruno who plays in Aspire Academy in Qatar.
Other players in the 23-man squad who have been drafted to replace Sofapaka players include Tusker’s towering defender Jockins Atudo, Kevin Opiyo of Mathare United, David Gateri of Nairobi City Stars and Kepha Aswani of Thika United.
Others are Dennis Mukaisi of Tusker, and Gor Mahia overlapping defender Erick Masika.
