Political activist Booker Omole has called on youth to take charge of their future by becoming more politically active, noting the government's response to recent protests has left many young people feeling disenfranchised. Speaking on Sunday, November 10, at Jacaranda Gardens, Omole urged young Kenyans to organise for leadership and rally together for change.

Omole, who also serves as the Communist Party of Kenya Vice-Chairman, criticised the government’s response to anti-government protests, where young demonstrators were reportedly met with arrests and violence.
