The Coast Jubilee Party faction allied to former President Uhuru Kenyatta has said there was no cause for alarm over the change of venue for the National Delegates Conference (NDC).

At the same time, the Coast delegates asked leaders who cannot play by the party rules to quit.

Yassir Noor welcomed the change of the NDC venue from Bomas of Kenya to Ngong Racecourse in Nairobi saying the Coast delegates will stick with Uhuru.

"We are drumming up support for the party NDC convened by the party leader, who is the retired Head of State. Those against him are free to quit the party," he said.

Addressing the media at the Tudor Water Sports in Mombasa, Noor said Jubilee members drawn from the Coast have endorsed the meeting which was called in line with the party constitution.

"We wish to dismiss claims from our critics within the party led by East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) MP Kanini Kega that they are the bonafide owners and officials of the party," he said.

Noor accused Kega and Nominated MP Sabina Chege of disrespecting the former president.

He claimed the Kega faction has been paid to rock the party from within.

Noor said the rival faction does not mean well for the party and has a hidden agenda to disintegrate it.

"We ask those in the Kanini faction to leave the party if they are not ready to live by the rules and regulations of the party," he said.

Jubilee Mombasa chapter women leader Amina Ridhwan said Ms Chege, should be the last person to criticize the former Head of State.

Ms Ridhwan told off the Nominated MP saying she owes her political career to Uhuru and added that it is the party leader who made her what she is in the current political dispensation.

"We invite you to come to the NDC to air your grievances instead of talking outside the party's fence," she said.

Khalil Bockle, who lost in the Kilifi South constituency parliamentary race, challenged the embattled party national chairman Nelson Dzuya to come out clean on the faction he is allied to.

He accused Dzuya of double speak and blamed him for the party woes.

"Dzuya contributed to the failure by the party to win elective positions during last year's polls," he claimed.
