Nairobi, Kenya: West Pokot Senator John Lonyangapuo sought a statement from the National Security Committee of the Senate on the withdrawal of security details of opposition leaders.
The Senator demanded that the committee chaired by his colleague Yusuf Hajji should inform the House why the government recalled the officers.
“The committee should tell us why the security guards, including the driver of the former Prime Minister, were withdrawn,” he stated.
He added: “Kenyans need to know what invited the drastic actions and whether the decision can be reversed.”
